Sabrina Mijares, LMHC, MA
Sabrina (she/her) is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in MA with seven years of experience. She graduated from Lesley University with a master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Dance/Movement Therapy. As a second generation, bilingual, Hispanic-American immigrant, she has a particular skillset and interest in working with immigrant populations. She has experience working in various settings including inpatient, outpatient, and schools. She has primarily worked with first and second generation immigrant teens/adolescents and adults dealing with grief, depression, anxiety, trauma, and BPD. She uses a variety of modalities to tailor therapy to the needs of the individuals she is working with, including but not limited to, CBT, DBT, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, strengths-based, solution-focused, EMDR, and expressive arts. She completed a 50 hour EMDR training and has specific experience and training in grief counseling.
